PATRICK'S MARTIAL ARTS CONCEPTS' goal is to provide programs for everyone from preschoolers to adults with focus on the development of “Ki” energy for wellness, fitness, and self-defense. TOTS, a program for preschoolers, helps young children acquire self-discipline and body control through the use of physical fitness exercises. These classes are fast-paced, activity oriented and with an emphasis on development of self-control. Children are awarded belts based on their attendance and participation. Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Traditional martial arts classes are offered for anyone over the age of 7. Sessions concentrate on the development of poomses (forms), meditation practices, and self-defense techniques. Student's belt advancement is based on their ability to demonstrate proficiency in these techniques. Classes are held every Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. For advanced students, the Center offers individual training, weapons training and intensive workshops. |
